早稲田大学国際教養学部教授・教務部参与（国際交流担当）。兼担、大学院アジア太平洋研究科教授。同オープン教育センター科目インターネット共同講座「アジアの共生」（"Coexistence in Asia"、早稲田大学などアジアの5大学で実施）のコーディネーター兼講師。同総合研究機構・プロジェクト研究所「日本アジア経営・技術統合研究所」所長(毎月、早大中国塾開催など)。専門分野は国際金融、とくに直接投資、アジア経済、国際開発、国際企業経営、プロジェクト・マネジメント、経済協力。
また、日本輸出入銀行在職中より現在にいたるまで、政府、学術団体などにおいて、数々の外部委員を歴任。早稲田大学中国留学生会顧問。
