In 32 years of experiences in labor administration, her main services were to engage in assisting workingwomen such as; constitution and amendment of Law for Equal Employment Opportunity of Men and Women, and Law concerning the Welfare of Workers Who Take Care of Children or Other Family Members Including Child Care and Family Care Leave, and to engage in international labor issues as the representative of International Labor Organization for Japan’s government.

Filled successively the manager of CSR, “social responsibility of business,” the officer of H & BC business “health food business” and out of Shiseido business in Japan “business of non-Shiseido brand cosmetics,” as an executive operating officer since 2004.

1947年生まれ。1971年東京大学教養学部卒。1971年労働省入省。2003年、厚生労働省雇用均等･児童家庭局長を最後に退官。32年にわたる労働行政の経験の中で、主要なものとしては、働く女性への支援（男女雇用機会均等法や育児・介護休業法の制定･改正等）に関わったこと、ILO（国際労働機関）日本政府代表を務めるなど国際労働問題に関わったことがあげられる。
